why would violence be brought into flightsimming
this is a bad idea in my opinion , why oh why

for crying out loud
:doho:

also I noticed it's direct X10 but the hardware requirements are Direct X 9 ?
i tthought I read somewhere that direct x 9 hardware cannot run the direct x10 update........

maybe thats where the mild violence comes in ...... from computer crashes.... :brick:

I'd imagine it's because of the Hornet carrying weapons. Even though you can't use them it still needs a mild violence rating to appease certain people.

Regarding your comment about violence being brought into flight simming; given that the vast majority of simulators are combat based and combat is inherently violent (just because you aren't playing a first person shooter where you can see the guts and gore doesn't mean you aren't simulating killing people) I support a rating on these games.

Whilst the rating on the FSX Acceleration pack seems a bit ludicrous I suppose if you're a hardcore pacifist you may object to the addition of military hardware being included in the Acceleration package for instance. At the end of the day it's simply an advisory, I don't know anyone that actually pays attention to them.

Hi Folks

ESRB 10+ is really low,
even The Simpsons get a higher rating.

The use of the 'mild violence' tag
may be marketing led
to 'stuff' the slot
ensuring one of the other tags are not applied.
ESRB Rating -
EVERYONE 10+
Titles rated E10+ (Everyone 10 and older) have content that may be suitable for ages 10 and older.
Titles in this category may contain more cartoon, fantasy or mild violence, mild language and/or minimal suggestive themes.

May contain crashing, explosions, people & :lazy: dying.

Can instill a desire to throttle the competitor who just cut you up. :flying:

As for the sling & hoist ops.
:@
you might wish to ensure the kids are |-) or :tunes: .

Acceleration contains SP2.
SP2 provides fixes for both DX9 & DX10 systems.
See - Acceleration and SP2
