Now that DG 'n' RP's glorious Hunters have their cockpit glass reinstated in FSX Acceleration I'm rediscovering them all over again. Its amazing what a difference a small thing like that can make. I love it, I love it, I love it!! :kissu:

Buzzing the AI ships at dawn in the FRADU models is such a joy. Now if I could only get that tail hook to function I could pretend to trap on a Nimitz Class!

Life is good again... and the future is bright (just imagine bump mapping, VC reflecting glass and even VC self shadowing... the mind boggles)!

Add this to the aircraft.cfg...

...and you can trap and make cat launches on the FSX Acceleration carriers

Interesting nose low attitude during launch...



... leading to an even more interesting attitude as the deck disappears and the sea fills your vision! If you're quick enough you can easily recover though...

Think I need to tweak the nose gear settings a bit :think:

That was the FSX Acceleration default Nimitz class carrier. I used lc0277's aicarriers1.zip to place two of them steaming around the Isle of Wight. FIle can be found at the bottom of the page here:
