Re: Caravelle vids
Good Grief!! Of all the cargo to be carrying.. gasoline! :o
I have to say that it looked like an accident waiting to happen.. more a case of when than if :-( I suppose the good news is that 3 managed to escape.

I don't know much about the Caravelle, but isn't it supposed to have a comet nose section? That one looks very different... even the engines look diffirent.

Early models DID Ben but the Frenchies tweaked it on later production versions ;-)

Re: Caravelle vids
Like Dave says they changed it on the later versions by making the side widows bigger..still ugly though :-(
The later versions had P&W

Re: Caravelle vids
Yes indeedie ;-) I think they 'roughed it up' a little on the inside too to give it a more 'galic' feel. Obviously looks similar but not quite the same

Re: Caravelle vids
I actually prefer the more angular nose on the 10 and 12 models. Love those early JT8Ds - less whine more scream. At idle they almost sound like a JT3's mixed in.
Can't be arsed.
