Well I just downloaded it...It is over 1MB and is a Word Document with embedded object. I haven't been able to separate it...I'll just see if it will convert to .pdx format.

Works fine for me.

Thanks for that, Peter. It was fascinating to listen to and is a part of history.

But just for the sake of one-upmanship, I can't resist mentioning that I was directly under the flight path of Alpha Foxtrot for her final, final flight into Filton, just a few hundred yards from the threshold. I certainly had a lump in my throat then. But it was also a bit disappointing as I was particularly wanting to hear the sound of four Olympus engines in reverse thrust for the last time. Just at that moment some idiot in a Spitfire flew overhead and drowned it out with his bloody Merlin sound :@ I mean - you can hear a Merlin anytime but never a Concorde again. I could have murdered him at the time, although he meant well I suppose

The photo of her flying low over the Clifton Suspension Bridge as she turned on to finals must be one of aviation's most iconic photographs and is still used in the intro to the BBC West News. (http://www.phy.bris.ac.uk/views/DIAPO01.jpg).

Airboater...I'm afraid I can't separate the embedded object from the Word document and I'm afraid this will not work for anyone who does not have Microsoft Word...The object opens and plays for me in Windows Media Player.

Shame about that as it is a high quality recording

Microsoft Word, Joe. It's a .wav file embedded into the document. You have to unzip the folder first.
