The kind of thing that happened in the UK about 30 or 40 years ago. Which says a lot for TAP and the Portugese...
Visually impressive though....

This clip and a-n-other have been posted before Joe (or ones very similar to it). See if you can find any footage of the SAA 747 doing it's stuff as it did at Duxford a few years ago. V E R Y impressive and something I've only seen done once over here though I gather SAA do it all the time at shows in South Africa :o

There is You Tube footage of the SAA and I saw a similar at Biggin Hill although not so spectacular with a Virgin 747
The A310 I posted about a day after the event and it was posted again a month or so later.

Great find Garry

What the footage doesn't show is that last turn.. if done as it was at Duxford.. is a
climbing turn :o Round and around.. up and up.. VSI in excess of 6000fpm!!! Wild!! ;-)

What is a pity Dave is the cameraman kept zoomed in
A few panned out a bit would get the crowd /ground in and a better feeling of low level.
Quite tight turns for an aircraft of that type

yes Dave you are right this is a different angle and from the flip side of a
video that was posted here some time back , but I didn't know that right off.
untill i started looking through the llist of similr videos.
but by then I'd already posted this one

which by the wway shows that the turn that was talked about in that thread was not over a lower part of the airport
like someone was stated,
that crazy pilot nearly ripped off his nav light , the wing tip couldn't be but a few feet off the ground.
I believe that was a disaster , that simply didn't happen, should have been ,would have been in some other place perhaps
but in this instance, it just didn't..
funny how that shite works out...........
