York Fuelburn Problem

Hi John,

As you know, I'm bringing the U.S. Yorks and Lancastrian back. The Lanc sits at Montreal after leg one and I've bought a ticket back to KORD to get the York. The flight has been in progress round 2hrs30m and I've just noticed it's not burning fuel. Dunno what the hell has happened as we'd got this problem sorted with the 3tank setup  I've still over an hour to run and can't afford to let it go so have to keep on going. I wondered why it was still sluggish and my speed wasn't increasing! :brick:

Thinking back.. I seem to remember the original setup worked fine on shorter routes (and I've used this particular model many times online before) so when I eventually get to leave Montreal, I won't use 'Standard' mode.. unless something else springs to mind in the meantime ;-)

Hi John,

Yup.. but that was for the Lancastrian :o I got that from KORD to CYUL this morning without problem which doesn't help me here sitting in a York! :)

82nm to go so I'd better get ready.. in case it all runs away from me  I thought I'd let you all know what's happening (even though I'm not really sure myself) in case anyone looks at the flight and see's Block Fuel 0 :cpu:

EDIT...
I think the problem may have been found. The particular model used is an unreleased 502.. slightly pokier engines.. slightly faster at like weights and various changes were made to the tanks along the way. This has manifested itself as the 'Lancastrian Problem' when running long routes. It won't be a problem for any other user as no one else has the 502! Tank cfg changed so all should be well for the next flight ;-)

Hi Dave,

Sorry about that I misread your post, yes sounds like a mix and match with that one you got.
