This may be an interesting bit of feedback on payware pricing ;-)

Before yesterday I would have said no more than £15 (probably even less than that), until I saw Rick's Hawk... To me, that's an aircraft I like, should be bags of fun to fly, and looks to be a top quality addon. What more can you want?

Although saying that, I'd leap on a high quality Jaguar model - who knows what price for! :dancer:

i chose the last one but would like to add that it would have to be in my eyes worth the money, IE number of models, textures, whats inc in the package etc...

It is quite thought provoking. Some may say I am never going to buy a model, some may be more than happy to pay whatever the cost, but I think everyone agrees that for the time and effort spent producing these things (and money spent on reference material and tralling to collect data). the designers and developers deserve more than just praise.

Just my twopenneth

Well normally I wont go over the £20 mark, I even wait for some addons that I really want to come down in price first. Of course there are exceptions like the Shackleton and the Sea vixen. Having said that I've been waiting for the FSD Jetstar for so long I may pay whatever they want for it when its released!!

So far (and with a margin of error on all polls) it looks like the Hunter overstepped the most popular threshold level (it may not meet the higher criterea either) but the Vixen was about spot on. It is difficult to judge on the enhanced sales of the cheaper product, because in this case, it came from an untried company (not that I have seen much in the way of complaints posted anywhere) and AS are one of the most well known.
Keep on voting we will see what we get after a few days.
Gordon has made a good point, the Vixen (in an early form) was on my PC from Jan 2006 and I took a load of photos for the project when I was still living in the UK. Rick's Hawk has been in project form for at least a year, if not more!

I myself will only buy something that I *know* that I will use often and enjoy. Otherwise I don't bother.

A few years ago I bought anything that flew, but experience and a retirement income have now kicked in and I would now really only lash out if a particular model was one of my favourites. e.g. VC10, Vulcan, Trident, BAC1-11 etc.

These days with freeware being so good I prefer to be able to send a donation to the builder direct. In the last year I have only 'bought' aircraft from freeware builders because the standard of the top end - take a bow guys - developers equals if not surpasses many payware offerings.

I would still buy but the model would have to be very very special indeed

Probably 15 - 20 would be my limit, but I have paid more in the past. However most of what I have bought... actually, thinking about it, all of my payware has ended up as AI in one flavour or another, so I really should have learned my lesson.

The only payware aircraft I flew regularly was the old Aerosoft 146 when I had FS9, and that was after I had put Matthais's panel in it. :)
