Not to bump a thread or anything - but the latest release at The Pond is the begining of this project -- funny aeroplane looks like a Fokker to me

I'm still none the wiser Leif. You've not really said JS mate. Looks like a Fokker and bought to you by the team that did the Dh53 - preware Scottish scenery  :brick: Could be the Forth Bridge painted silver for all I know :dunno:

The Avro Ten was a licence-built Fokker FVII/3M with british engines. Imperial used them too and so did ANA in Oz. I can't remember whether The Southern Cross that first crossed the Pacific was the Avro or Fokker model - with added fuel tanks. Jens has done both.

The Westland Wessex certainly looks very similar, but I think is a home-brewed design. Someone see if there is one in a Danish Museum, we might be able to inspire Jens again!

Henry Ford's trimotor was a copy inspired by the performance of the Fokkers in the first American Tour Race.

Going by the author's names - did they ever work at Leyland Motors?

If you read the splurge that goes wth it - they have a Prewar Scottish scenery package they are on the verge of releasing . My misguided
notion was in might be of some interest to the folks here abouts as there seems to be a new interest in things retrograde. Guess it
serves me right for thinking. Im so glad I edited the last bit out. And I was not aware that Avro had built the Fokker under liscense.

again guess I should leave the thinking to those who know better

Bless you Leif.. that's me ticked off again

I read the splurge that's written under the two Dh53 entries and it mentions nothing about anyone being on the verge of releasing anything but there you go. In all honesty, I find CBF one of the most awkward sites to navigate around mate. It might suit you to a tee but it doesn't work for me Guv'. Suppose I'm just thick!
