Post by RAF_Quantum »

Hi Guys,

Just a quick heads up. We've purchased eight Trident 2's for operating the CAAC routes in China. These routes include several to Hong Kong/Kai Tak and will be complemented well by the recently released 9 Dragons scenery for FS9. The CAAC routes are already flightplanned at FlyNET and we have taken delivery of the aircraft. Currently the aircraft are located at Chicago/KORD, Paris/LFPG and Munich/EDDM. Flightplans to enable ferry flights to Beijing should be available some time over the weekend.

Regards

John

I'm toying with this John but am not sure if I want to go back to Hong Kong. One of my clearest memories of the 'then' colonial outpost was.. 'why is the chap trying to sell me a Seiko wearing a Timex'?? As it happens.. I bought the Seiko anyway and had it engraved with my initials (on the strap) at the China Fleet Club.. Christmas '74

Hi,

Ferry flightplans are now available at FlyNET :

CBFCAC1/4 0800 KORD KNUW 1150
CBFCAC1/4 1300 KNUW PAKN 1630
CBFCAC1/4 0800 PAKN UHPP 1150
CBFCAC1/4 1300 UHPP ZBAA 1735

CBFCAC2/5 0800 LFPG EDDM 0925
CBFCAC2/5 1045 EDDM USPP 1455
CBFCAC2/5 0800 USPP UIII 1210
CBFCAC2/5 1300 UIII ZBAA 1530

CBFCAC3/6 0800 EDDM USPP 1210
CBFCAC3/6 1245 USPP UIII 1655
CBFCAC3/6 1730 UIII ZBAA 2000

The longest distance is between UHPP - ZBAA at 1862nm direct routing so careful fuel planning should be made with regard to forecast headwinds and fuel state should be monitored en-route. Please note that there are no ILS facilities available at UHPP or UIII.

Available aircraft for ferry :-

Red = Reserved for delivery/Delivered

Ex EDDM : B-282 , B-296

Ex KORD : B-262 , B-263 , B-288

Ex LFPG : B-269 , B-286 , B-292

Please post below if you wish to ferry any of the aircraft and advise which airframe you will be taking.

Regards

John

Hi John

I'll take B-288 from KORD. Try out that long leg & see if there's enough juice. :worried:

There is a full set of CAAC Trident 2 repaints (10mb) available for the CBFS fleet, so the proper reg can be flown if wanted:-
Links to repaints in this thread

These models are set up to use the normal panel & sounds available from http://www.dmflightsim.co.uk/hs121_trident.htm
All current Trident pilots should have them installed already.
The aircraft.cfg files are set up to use the VC models. If you want the no-VC model instead, simply remove the 'VC' wherever it states 'panel=VC' and 'model=VC' in the aircraft.cfg files.

I'll take B-263 at ORD.

Couple of things though -

1) Why Whidbey Island, a Naval Air Station (i.e. Military), instead of SEATAC? (just curious here)

2) Can you create a second set of flights for the Chicago run? I can't fly the leg when it's booked already. :)

Hi Chris,

Route was chosen for cheaper fuel prices. I've now doubled up on all the flightplans.
