.... might want to take a look in the CFS2 downloads section, where they will find a nice little Avro Rota by Wolfy which (apparently) also works in FS9/GW3 - might need a tweak or two though. Mick, one of the other artists over there, is also just about to put out a pack of 14 FS9 repaints for it.

Just want to check; I know it's a Cierva really, but does having the "Avro" before it excuse my putting it in this section?

I think one of these is being included in Oleg Maddox's 'Storm of War : Battle of Britain'...though why is anyone's guess. I can't exactly see it cleaving into massed formations of Heinkels over the hop fields of Kent, but its being modelled and will be flyable nevertheless.

well, as the Cierva autogyro company was established here in good old blighty, I think it counts as a 'Classic Brit'

I seem to recall reading an account (probably in "Flying Review") of one of these being bounced offshore by 2 Fw190s. The pilot got it down to just above the surface and continued to dodge about until one of the opposition overshot and splashed in. The other one then gave up and went home. Not sure whether it counts as a "kill".
