Re: First CBFS Flyin.....!
Is this going to be in FS9 for the first run?
I'll have to blow the dust off it if so...lol....I only use it to test repaints since putting FSX and Accel on here. ;-)
Hmmm....just set up a flight plan and had trouble finding Hurn! Google pointed me to the fact that it is now known as Bournemouth.

Re: First CBFS Flyin.....!
Great idea, Tony, but not quite the first CBFS fly-in.
We did this a few years back, at Valley, hosted by Calypsos (if I remember correctly).
The theme then, was turn up in anything by one of the great CBFS creators (in my case, Rick's Meteor, and DM's Comet
).
It was all great fun, even though I was on dial-up at the time.
The latest suggestion also sounds like fun. I'm not on Skype, but can you confirm what other software is required.
Also, are we limited to the Chippie?
Looking forward to some on line flying.
Regards
Kevin

Re: First CBFS Flyin.....!
Hi Tony..
I don't think this is going to be 'the first' CBFS fly-in mate. CBFS members did a 'Dam's Raid' last year using FSX and it was such a jaunt.. we've never attempted anything similar since I think either 5 or 6 were there at the start.. only two of us were there some 5 hrs later back at Scampton(me and Ben) :o
Over the years.. we've had a number of online meets but FSX does make this sort of thing so much easier. As it has vox 'built-in'.. there's absolutely no need to worry about Skype or any additional software/protocol ;-)
Concur with Kevin's post (which nipped in as I was typing this)

Re: First CBFS Flyin.....!
Indeed Dave.I think I was one of the 'fallen' aircraft due to technical issues during the flight.
I would certainly have a crack at this again although I know nothing about SKYPE or how it works.

I suffer from paranoid amnesia. I can't remember who I don't trust.
Re: First CBFS Flyin.....!
Night flying.
Pros: FINALLY get off this OCF
Cons: Miss out on the CBFS trip :-(
Probably wont fly anyway, we're priority 2 and a/c are breaking lots
