I have not seen one of these in MSFS since Rick gave up on his, due to lack of cockpit info.

Thanks for the HU Trev.

Been waiting for one of these beauties - hoping that Rick could find the gen required for the panel of the one he was working on.

Have D/L it and it flies well. I have used the sound file from Lynn & Bill Lyons Luscombe 8A (cc12lusf.zip)

Just as a PS to my last post.

As per the install instructions, I have found that the gauge Cab files for the DH Comet, Piper J3 Cub, Douglas DC3 and Lockheed Vega panels need to be copied to the Messenger panel - fills up the "holes"

I thought he had put that in his read me file about the gauges .... If not I can edit it for them - David worked
a very closely with Horse on the FDE and I find it a real joy to fly - The only reason nothing had been said here about it
was in defference to Ricks Messenger, David built it as personal "toy" and it took a little persuading to get him to
publish it - as I said at the Pond it really is a joy to fly and although there were only 160 or so built there are a wealth
of colour schemes for it to take (Seems to me there was a beautiful red and silver one at Panshangar in the mid 60s).
Finally if you follow the link to Davids website there are a couple of very nice Ultralights there he has built and a
decent scenery of Hucknall in its later days. Dont hold your breath but the Messenger may gain a twin sister in the future
;)

Leif, it was probaly just me coming to the end of a long day. I had read the gauge listing and because it did not tell me to copy the said other aircraft gauges, plus the fact that STUPID it took a while for the penny to drop. I assumed they were all in the accompanyng cab file.

As you say, it is a real joy to fly, and it will be remaining in my hangar. My thanks for persuading Dave to upload it. Judging by your closing remarks, I'd better leave room for the Messenger. Used to watch both ay Yeadon (EGNM now), they were in the circuit most days.

I will pass your kind words onto Dave - he was very surprised to see the initial responce to his offering (Over 300 downloads in the first 18 hours)
and the magic word in my last sentence was "twin" ;-)

It really is a joy to fly - He is putting together a paint kit for it for those who wish something other than Montys Camel and KBO

yes they are - its a nice little panel as well - I have only flown in it VC BTW

Nice looking model of the Messenger. I'm sure there was a review/flight test of this type in the Pilot magazine years ago .. I'll need to look out for this one.
