HELP! - YouTube problem

I wanted to watch '558s 2nd flight, but when got on to YouTube it came up with: 'Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.' ...So I click the link to download/install, try YouTube again...same happens. I find out that although it has apparently installed, i.e it is in the 'Add/remove programs' thingy, no size of the program (MB) is shown. :dunno:

So....any ideas on what I should do??? :dunno:

I had this problem last year. What I eventually did to fix it was to re-install Zonealarm and start setting program permissions again. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem a while ago too. Somewhere on the Adobe site is a utility to uninstall flash player. I used that then reinstalled from the Adobe site and everything was ok. Ah, the file is "uninstall_flash Player.exe"

Quite! they even mentioned it at their FAQ or something! Couldn't just find it... but I had the same problem some months ago, where the Flash player wouldn't update.... something with a wrong registry setting that wouldn't be cleared during the install process or there abouts...

Chris, if your still having the problem and can't find the utility on the Adobe site just PM me with your email and I can send it to you - I discovered I actually kept it on a backup.

Ok, sorted...As I am using Firefox, I suddenly remembered I could access Internet explorer(?) through a simple folder, e.g My documents, and IT allows YouTube to work properly!! :welldone:

Thanks anyway for your suggestions!
