New here. Hello everyone

I'm new to this forum and just thought I would introduce myself.
I'm a big flight sim fan, and probably like many of you, I have been for years ( since C64,Sinclair Spectrum days )
My project at the moment is the conversion of the nose section of Fokker F27 friendship G-CEXD into a home sim running FSX
I'm running the F27 model by William Bruijns with the panel by Fraser Mckay, though of course as things progress I will actually be using my own panel.
All the best, Dean

This picture was taken a couple of weeks ago. I'm working on calibration issues with the engine instruments at the moment.

Hi Dean and welcome ;-)
Good luck with the project. Every boy should have his own flightdeck

Hi Dean and welcome!

Thanks for the warm welcomes from everybody.
I'm fortunate that my partner supports me with the simming , this is my second project the first was a Beechcraft Queenair, though she was a bit shocked at the size of the F27 nose when it arrived, and I did have to demolish the garage and build myself a timber "barn".
I am using Simkits instruments. I've designed my own faceplates using Coreldraw for the instruments that Simkits doesn't supply.
The surround sound system is fitted. At the moment I just have a monitor sitting on the coaming so that I can do testing, but basically the cockpit is "flyable" with the yokes and rudder pedals connected to a joystick board and the throttles connected to another joystick board.
When I sold the Queenair I kept the projector so I'll be using that on a custom 10' wide screen.
