Thanks Ben, I must be missing something obvious (or maybe not, judging from similar posted comments), but starting from the Home page, how do you get to "New releases and Support"?

It's one of the options in the Board Index.

The last one in the Classic British Flight Sim block

Hi,

had to do a full re-install of fsx, sp1 and sp2 which has fixed several issues
with the Beau. First the sounds problem is now corrected (hooray!) and it also has made
the aircraft more stable in pitch (although I've no idea why).

Anyway thanks for all your help.
Seems FSX is very flaky when it comes to installing those patches.

Regards,

Ted.

Just to clarify...

I'm guessing its pretty obvious as the file has been downloaded 2000+ times and there have been about 6 posts asking where it is.

The site is NOT a download site. Our developers either host their own files or upload to the main sites. We offer it under the new releases and support for a few weeks to thank our members for their support, so its more of a thank you to them than a download for the wider FS community. Thats why the forum hosting the downloads is for members only.

If we ever managed to get enough funding we would probably host our own files too, but this is unlikely, and avsim and flightsim.com etc provide these services.

OK - Thanks for the clarification Ben. I guess I misinterpreted the statement "The home of Freeware Classic British Aircraft for Flight Simulator" . Anyway, I've now downloaded the Beaufighter from Flightsim.com. Absolutely great model - THANKYOU Dave Garwood for a fantastic aeroplane.

Hi Dirk

I can't see anything misleading with the title as there is a links page to where the stuff can be dowloaded and in this case the model was offered as a link in the forum.....so even though we are not a downlaod site the downloads are availiable from within this site.

So it was there sll the time. ;-)

Anyways glad you found it :)
