Nigel,

These repaints for the Varsity and Valletta are excellent  .

It's a tribute to Rick and how good these models and the Viking are that after all this time repaints are still appearing for what are basically FS2002 models. The big bonus is that they go straight into FSX SP2 with no mods necessary, glass and props OK and no panel issues. OK they are "portovers" but they still run better on my system than many "so called" FSX models. Just a pity that FSX won't allow cabin views.

Hi Pete

it's mainly down to the fact i personally prefer my glass to be textured and specular.

if i wasn't a fan of these processes i would have had to fix the glass by now but i used the method from day 1 it became available as i liked it
and it's now current on all models ;-)

more luck than judgement i'm afraid,
although the other reason is i am a real stickler for modelling using the last version of the available tools and sim version which this time has been a problem as not many have gone with me to FSX
but hopefully after the Anti hype that FSX produced has settled down and people move over they will once again get a few years out of my newer models.

somewhere i have full cabin models built but in 2001 i didn't have enogh PC power to compile the huge 1mb model (hawk is a 6 mb model just for outside!)

One day i might do a rebuilt but it's got so complex that it's not an easy task.
i hope it doesn't keep evolving at the current rate as every rivet will be modelled in another 6 years! :$

Regards
Rick

Hi Rick,

So thats the explanation! I had been wondering why some older models, DelP's HP42 is another one as is DM's fleet, "portover" so well and yet so many others have so many problems it's not worth trying to mess around with them to get them to work.

We can but hope ;-) but in any event I'm a happy bunny anyway :dancer: !

Thanks for the kind words chaps!

I'm away at the moment but when I get home I should have a few more to be released, including the Met Research Flt, plus scenery of RAF Manby.

Best wishes

Nige

Not sure

If they were missing I thought they would still come up but you'd get a dead link.unless they've cleared it now.

Maybe someone can give you the filenames *-)

I've just been over and tried every combination I can think of and nowt comes up. The Viking is there but not the Valetta or Varsity :dunno: Did Leif put them up over at the Pond?

Edit: No, I can't find them at the Pond either.
