A few from RAF Cosford

A few shots (in no particular order), from the Cosford airshow.
The weather held, although aircraft reliability didn't. The Apache took off, along with a Lynx and headed away from the airfield to hold. We were then informed, that the Apache had suffered an APU fire and had put down in a field. The aircraft did recover to Cosford a little later, but did not display.
The Provost was also a 'No Show'.
Other than that, a good day out (even though we often waited several minutes between each display).

Anyway, on with the pics.....

Thanks, Lewis.

The weather conditions were just right for the 'fog' formation above the wings of the fast jets. An effect that I've long wanted to capture on camera.

Black Hunter and yellow Gnat does for for me. At first I thought the Gnat was further away from the camera than the Hunter , till I looked at the tail fin. Strangely deceptive, that. Excellent photos!

I was born at Cosford, by the way. Maybe I should go next year and make an exhibition of myself.

Superb stuff :dancer:

I too had several takes at the Gnat and Hunter, it looks like the Gnat is a small prototype!

Yes guys, the Gnat is miniscule. Still one of my favourite aircraft - I'm sure I could get one in my parking bay.

Nice shots.

Yes, the Hunter dwarfs the Gnat, but I think its small size makes it all the more appealing! :)
