Tail trim

A related question to my Trident capers...
The manual states standard tail trim of 2.5 degrees - in Peters' autoland tutorial, he states 3 degrees - is either figure essential or is there some leeway?
(I basically set the trim mentioned in the manual)

Jim..
TPI will dependant on a number of factors. If you use the intuitive checklist on the Trident.. moving the trim control until a green tick appears will ensure you are correctly configured. DM has done the difficult bit for you ;-)

Jim...David's 2.5 is superior...My 3.0 was from the original trials but it later proved to be a bit too nose up and could cause a problem after take-off as you are busy engaging things. So use the 2.5 and if that feels wrong then even 2.0 is OK, but don't use my original 3.0. :flying:

Cheers Peter - I did not mention that I had three attempts at the Cat 3 - the first two resulted in a stall - until I caught the pitch in time on the third attempt!
