Thanks for those links - I listened to some other JFK ground contollers as well and I am getting the impression they are a bunch of imapatient clowns. This is fairly long but listen to this:

I read recently that JFK is a very difficult airport with a complex array of taxyways so this sort of thing can happen more easily.

Gary, absolutly right - it is a very complex taxiway system, but I have to assume that any controller assigned to JFK is not a rookie.

That said it appears to me that for the most part the pilots are far more professional than the controllers. I also think a little more understanding towards those whose native language is not English would be helpful on the part of the controllers. Besides, New Yorkers murder English so no wonder foreign pilots have a hard time understanding them! :lol:
