apparently 558 was seen in the Morcombe Bay area this afternoon.....I am guessing from the 'Tonks' reference the aircraft is at Brize Norton

Roger that, Tonks.

She is indeed at Brize, Bob, for what looks like the rest of the season. Unfortunately, she'll be sitting on the ground all weekend as she's gone tech...AGAIN, so all her displays this weekend are cancelled.

according to http://www.tvoc.co.uk/

Due to a technical issue with the port under carriage while repositioning the aircraft from Waddington to Brize Norton the aircraft will not be able to display at Dunsfold, Sywell or Broadlands Park.

Sounds like a Vulcan. I'm sure as they get her flying on a more regular basis, many of these issues will get worked out and you'll have some semblance of a "normal" display availability.

I was on the range on the far side of the airfield when she arrived. Our training took a five minute break due to the inability of us (in our ear defenders) to hear the Regt instructor!

I have to say she was a welcome (and unexpected) sight! Certainly a nice view from that side of the airfield too.
