Hi Guy's..

Anyone out there got MZFW figures for the 100, 200 and 500 Tristars please. Having wasted mucho time searching on the web.. this piece of info is the only one I can't find and it's the only one I want

Hello Mate..

Sadly not. MZFW is the structural capacity before fuel. I've managed to find a couple of figures.. 33800lbs/153320kg basic - 350000lbs/158760kg optional for the 200 freighter (which I don't really want) and 153314kg for the 500. I'm not sure the info on FlyNET is accurate and can't get at it as FlyNET is down  Ideally.. the 100 is the one I need though the 200 would help (basic difference is uprated and heavier engines on the 200). Tks for that anyway ;-)

For what its worth - Our ex EAL Maintenance Controller has Lockheeds manuals on disk
MZFW
L1011-500 - 320,000 pounds - 145454.5 kgs
L1011-100 - 338,000 pounds - 153636.0 kgs

Of course Im sure Janes is more accurate than Lockheed

(data for 100s applies to EAL/TWA acft)

But as BEAs 1011's were spec'd as were Courtlines from the Original Eastern Demostrator I think they numbers are close

Dave - if you guys at CBFSVA want the L1011 Manuals on DIsc - I'll twist Pauls arm

BTW the performance in Vistaliner 1011 is spot on - just remember the old girl liked to rumble along at .82 I have the tape gauges in mine
because having flown on Delta and ATAs 500s that what I was used to looking at :)

have fun with it - when Flynet comes back up you will find its a real money maker

Hi Leif..

I'm more than a little confused with the loading on the Vistaliners model. It flies great straight out of the box so to speak but it has only 3 loading stations and these total 204kg.. basically, the FD crew and the stations coincide with that point on the aircraft.. the nose! I really don't want to fiddle with it too much as I appreciate it is still very much a beta and whatever I do now could be wiped in an instant  I'm trying to be prepared for the time when FlyNET can read the aircraft load and adjust either it or fuel accordingly.. the object being, we'll be prepared  Twisting Paul's arm would be much appreciated but don't bust a gut ;-)

Yup.. I'm sure the old girl will earn a few bob when we get going ;-) I have been surprised just how little the DC10 makes by comparison :o Of the 2 'live' flights I've done.. fuel cost has completely negated ticket revenue and all profit has come from cargo!! I wasn't OTT with fuel on either trip taking 48000kg onboard and burning 47812kg on the last one
