You know, I wish there were a video or videos like the ones ITTV used to make, for the Trident, where the actual operation of the aircraft is explained. That company made(?) or makes the best aviation videos I have seen yet...

Yes.. that'd be nice but it would never have happened when the Trident was in service as none of the company's now producing those excellent DVD's were around. VHS and betamax were still fighting it out

There is/was another company.. www.worldairroutes.com that produces/produced good 'in flight' DVD's similar to ITVV ;-)

Many many moons ago, I seem to recall a documentary on the beeb entitled "Red One to Amsterdam", which involved a BEA Trident LHR-AMS. Apologies if it's any connection to the links above, but I'm in the office at the mo.

I remember the documentary but I have a feeling that it was actually called "Red One to London". I can vaguely remember being in Approach at Heathrow when the film crew was there. I have an equally vague memory of James Burke - who used to co-host "Tomorrow's World with Raymond Baxter at that time - sitting in the Approach Room very late at night play a guitar but whether he was there for the "Red One" documentary or something else, I can't recall - well, it was 40 years ago! :o

Incidentally, the correct title should have been "Red One East to...".
