Delighted to find out that former Queens Flight Andover XS789 looks alive and well this year. Hope it's airworthy! I grew up with these flying over my house when they were based at Benson. The other two were XS790, which was scrapped at Boscombe in the late '90s :@ and XS793 which probably went abroad but which has probably also been scrapped by now.
Anyway here's the former 789 enjoying warmer climes in her old age....

She appears to have operational covers and no long term external control surface locks in place. I would say that when the picture was taken, she was airworthy.

Active then Trev but that was in Belgium 11 years ago
Possibly on delivery then but not idea of it's status now.

Thanks for that link to that site, Richard. Really useful.
So, out of the six Andover CC.2s, 789 is the only survivor. Well one's better than none.

What happen to XS791 that was at Bruntingthorpe then sold on to a private owner in Ely?
It was said at the time it was too expensive to completly refit them for civil use, hardly surprising given their military use and the abundance of civil 748's at the time.
Africs as usual was not quite so fussy
