Random question

Looking at some RIAT shots from last year, just got me wondering... on the odd Reds A/C there are backseaters.... who are they and why do they fly?
RAF personnel? Guests from other airforces? Other Reds members?

Hey Jim,
Each aircraft has an engineer assigned, that travels with the aircraft to gigs - so if you're looking at photos of the team arriving/departing a display airfield then its probably the dedicated engineer in the back.
