Hello Mate..
I'm envious of two things.. they have a hangar to keep it in and a GPU. It has a few more lights on the FD than APEP but lights aren't everything
Wonder what goes with our Concorde at LHR? Likewise, the one at Filton??

You know, the wirings' probably more brittle than frozen toffee now, but when I was at Yeovilton, for some strange reason  I ended up going through the Concorde THREE times

along with some good looks underneath. No desire to go into the cockpit (especially with my back) but I did enjoy looking through the cap's window... and I thought how nice it would look if the instruments were lit up (and all the computers in the back).......
But then would I start pressing things???

Wonder what has happened to the Concorde Flight Simulators? Now if some-one could afford to ship them to a museum and run it, think of the business that could be created just to be given an opportunity to fly a circuit!! Or am I living too much in the FS World?

We have it at Brooklands Nigel and the intention is for it to be powered ;-) We also have a One-Eleven sim (though you'd be hard pushed to tell thats what it was.. it's in so many bits!) and a TCA Vanguard sim.. neither of which will see the light of day for a long time judging by their condition. Concorde is very much a goer though

Put me name down quick Dave!!
Though tend to think that the maintenance will be quite hefty as well as the running costs, so might just be able to afford a taxi to active!! :-(
As for the BAC1-11.........the incentive would be to unbox it!!!
Nigel.

If the One-Eleven sim was in boxes mate.. I'm sure it'd be in a better state than it's in now. I can't remember where we got it from (possibly Filton as we did with the Concorde sim) but it is quite literally a pile of bits sitting in one end of the Strat Chamber. It looks like they pulled it apart and threw all the bits onto the back of a lorry.. sort of MFI flat-pack! Directly to the right is the TCA Vanguard sim (which should be preserved in it's own right to my mind) and this was sawn in two front to aft :o Directly in front of the One-Eleven sim sit loads of Concorde spares and 3 (not one but three) Concorde galley's :o
The Concorde sim is pretty much intact and shouldn't take a great deal to get working. The difficult part is getting someone to make a start and keep at it!
