New from Samdim Design Group: Tu-95MS & Tu-142M.

Post by Viper »

Hi...

For those among us who like Russian stuff, the SamDim Design Group (yeah, from the beautiful Yak-40!) released a great freeware product.
It contains the Tupolev Tu-95MS strategic bomber and Tu-142M maritime patrol aircraft.
Available at Avsim.com, alsmost 51 Mb in size.
Panel has Russion gauges and there are NO intructions for how to use this panel (yet) but, as it is stated on Avsim.com, "the aircraft are still in use so it is secret" :) :).

Anyway, the aircraft looks very impressing.
So, if you are in for a Russian treat, go get it!!!

Grtz.

The TU-95 and TU-142 information must not be that secret. I've got a book with some EXTREMELY detailed information on the aircraft.

Ahh, good 'ole Russia, they let us see their secrets for a while then try to claim that it's still secret... :)

AVSIM too busy right now, unfortunately! Will give it a try in FSX though. I can't turn down a Bear, especially one by Samdim!

Made a flight with the Bear. She flies and feels like a big aircraft and the panel looks really great but worries me too!
Several gauges don't seem to work and I don't know how to get them working.
I hope someone out there will be able to create some kind of "manual" for us so we can "understand" the panel (and thus flying the Bear) a bit.

Looks Impressive, always liked the look of the bear, downloading now and looking forward to flying her.

While I was there I also picked up the AN-24 for flying into Lukla.

Some interesting flights ahead, thanks for the HU.
