This is actually indicative of the poor imaginations and limited education of todays youth. One can only imagine if this would have been asked ten years ago the answers that would have been received from the imaginative souls in the class.
"It's going to the moon"
"It doesn't need a door because you climb in through a hole in the roof"
"It's going straight up, it's a hover bus"
"It goes wherever it wants to because it's alive"
And I know for a fact a million and one of the more pedantic kids would have pointed out quite a few problems with the fact that the proposed movement of the bus.
"The wheels aren't attached"
"There is no driver"
"There are no people on the bus, why is it going anywhere?"
And I'm sure the kids would come up with a million more but my imagination has grown up somewhat since I was five so I'm at something of a loss now.
All it really demonstrates is that to modern children who should have imaginations that can run rampant and should be questioning everything so that they can learn more about the world around them simply aren't, mostly because our current primary education system beats both imagination and the desire to learn out of children and also because parents don't take an active role in their children's education anymore.
Apologies if this is raining on your parade a little Graham, it's just what occurred to me when I read it, it reminds me of one of those chain mails designed to make you feel bad about yourself when in fact all it does is prove a point contrary to the one it is trying to make.

Personally I don't read anything into a single statement.
I just thought it amusing and an interesting perception

This is so true, working in the Toy Design industry I have many a funny dit about comments Kids have made about possible future products.......although unfortunately they are growing up too fast these days and are more worried about restyling their hair in the two way mirror, than looking at new toys!

I actually came to the same conclusion and thought it would be travelling from left to right.
For a few minutes I was proud of myself.
Until I realised, I must have the mentality of a 10 yr old! :doho:
