Also Coming soon to ClassicBritishfiles for FS9/FSX

The Miles Aerovan (sans F2 racecar that it NEVER carried) maybe some coffins , or the odd Gemini and Messenger wing assemblies from Newtonards to Woodley , or Lobsters From Dinard to Paris or prehaps some flowers from the Channel Islands
up to Southampton Two versions one cargo one passenger - And an Israeli Air Force camoflage paint for it.

David Molyneaux, with the help of Brian Horsey has produced a nice model that flies as close as can be made to the real
thing -- DONT expect anything lightning fast and dont try landing it (like I did early on in Beta) in a high crosswind

Nice (Simple) 2D and VC panel Dave found a photograph of the passenger version that has what appear to be those canvas
sling chairs that we used for assembly at Harrow - attached to the floor with eye bolts and NO seat belts!!!

very simple ADF and Daves approximation of the Miles Autopilot that was fitted to some.

Here are a couple of shots of a fictious paint for it -- the registration is correct :)

Also for reasons best not discussed here - Scenery for FS9 of Oban Airport courtesy of alot of help from the
kind folks at Argyll And Bute Council and Highland Airways - Oban was an airport in decline until last year when
A&G rebuilt the airport - added a new terminal and had it certified for commercial operation.
Highland Airways operates a BN2 from there to Colonsay and Coll Islands

Both are in final Beta and will be available at the Pond in the next couple of weeks :)

Oh yes if your wondering about the Apron and its colour -- its built from a very attractive red brick herring bone

Cheers

Is anyone else continually surprised that Miles came up with the M.52? I mean it always seems so out of character with the rest of their work!

What I did learn in all my trawling was that it was in many ways the father of the Skyvan - in fact Miles offered it to Shorts
in the Hurel Dubois winged - Rover powered version and they turned it down took the performance numbers and lo and behold
the SC7 appeared, its perfomance was not sparkling but Im curious as to what MIGT have happened if the Rover GT engine had
played out - as usual Miles was way ahead of their time

Btw in all seriousness - Dave Molyneaux has taken his night lighted VC that people enjoyed in the Gemini and carried it
to a beautiful finish in the Aerovan -- the backlit instruments in the VC are spectacular oh as is the chart for Western Scotland
in the Copilots map pocket on the door :)

Now if I can just persuade him to load it with single malt :)

Oh and Iain there is some very nice scenery for Inverness -- Im just not sure where I got it from
just need to replace the Eastern JS41s with Highlands aircraft

Skippy - from everything I have read it seems Miles had the ability (and the windtunnel) to work with the project
the fact that the wind actually flew on a Hawk it pretty incredible and that the aircraft was planned to
a conventional jet engine and NOT be air launched -- Bell took the wing and I hate to say this all the BS
about the Bell X1 fuselage being designed from a .45 bullet is just that all you have to do is look at the M52
(thats just my Personal opinion - the fact that the goverment made Miles give ALL their data to Bell well
that is fact)

Having fun at 107 KIAS :flying:

So, Leifs promised that the Oban airport scenery will be released in the next couple of weeks ! ?? :o Hm, better not stay here chatting then, seems I've got plenty of work on (refers to to-do list and grabs for the coffee cup). :drinkers:
