I had this book many years ago..by the late, great, Douglas Adams.

I've just found it again:

Note to self: I must stop working a permanent back-shift and find a normal 9 to 5

An absolutley great book, the deeper meaning of life is also great. Some real crackers in there, look up Botley for examle.

What a loss to the world was Douglas Adams - in so many ways. Although I'd seen this book on the shelves, I'd never got round to looking at it. Absolutely marvellous - Adams at his best!

Thanks for this link, Derek - I'll savour it one letter at a time.

I remember this from a few years back

Brilliant. Thanks for bringing it all back.

AIRD OF SLEAT (n. archaic)
Ancient Scottish curse placed from afar on the stretch of land now occupied by Heathrow Airport

No wonder Terminal 5 had such a rough start!
