WOW, I'm impressed. I'd also like to know if it is native FS9 or FSX? I'd love to be flying it in FSX Acceleration, tho its a shame the traps and cats are only really built for aircraft of the weight and speed of an F-18 , rather than the likes of a Wyvern or Sea Fury :-(

Anyhow, is that HMS Ocean I see? If so, I'd like to hear more about her too...

It's FS9, it was built by Dave Hanvey and Paul Barry a few years ago now, but is still imho the best Sea Fury for FS.

It might work in FSX sp2 but certainly not in Acceleration due to propellor issues. Sorry about that chaps.

The base zip is sfrel1.zip available at http://www.flightsim.com

Then just apply the update over the top. :)

The carrier is HMS Colossus which was sold to France in 1946 and became the Arromanches.

The Sea Fury and the Colossus Class Light Fleet Carrier are synonomyous mostly due to Korea.

HMS Triumph, Glory, Perseus, Theseus, Pioneer, Venerable, Vengeance, Warrior and Ocean were all Colossus Class.

Warrior was loaned to the Canadian Navy and Venerable sold to the Netherlands to become the Karel Doorman II

There's an interesting Website detailing the Korean Sea Fury campaign: http://britains-smallwars.com/carriers/Ocean.html

AS well as the aforementioned:

HMAS Sdyney, HMAS Melbourne, HMCS Bonaventure, HMCS Magnificent and INS Vikrant were all Majestic Class, which was a slightly modified Colossus Class and therefore had much visual similarity (at least when they were first built).

They were originally built for the Royal Navy but were surplus to requirements with the coming of peace. :)
