Hi Chaps..
Saw a lovely book at Brooklands today.. British Airliner Prototypes since 1945 by Stephen Skinner. Unfortunately, their asking price of £35 was too steep for my empty pockets but having looked on Amazon, they will let you have a copy for £30 or.. use one of their authorised resellers and pick one up from £21.41 plus about £2.75 postage. Worth a look if you have a few bob loafing and you're wondering what to do with it ;-)

Hi Dave.I was down in Nottingham at the weekend visiting friends and saw this book in Waterstones. As you say it is a superb,if rather expensive, item.Very high quality as I recall,so I guess the price tag is not surprising.EricT

Hi Eric..
Yes indeed.. I picked it up, had a thumb through the pages and was impressed with what I saw. I walked round with it for a while then thought no. As much as I like to patronise the shop at Brooklands, there are limits and £35 was just too much. I'm certainly gonna get it off Amazon for £23 though ;-)
