The Curse of the Cat

A man hated his wife's cat and wanted to get rid of it so he took it across town in a cat basket and dumped it... When he got back the cat was already home.
The next day he drove it to the next town and let it out by the side of the road... sure enough by the time he got home the cat had beaten him to it.
Growing increasingly frustrated the man drove the cat into the next county and released it... when he got home the cat had had his dinner and was fast asleep on the couch.
Bugger this he thought so he got the cat and drove to the other end of the country and dropped it off in the most isolated place he could find. A good few hours later he phoned home and asked his wife if the cat was there... yes she said, good put the sod on... I'm lost!
