Just popping in

Been unable to post recently, as the forum doesn't seem to like my mobile internet!

But anyway, on the 10th Feb I graduated from basic training at RAF Halton, and since then I've been stuck on Cosford's holding flight waiting for my AMM course to start, which does so on the 26th March. We've done very little in this past couple of weeks, but, as part of a 'rent-a-crowd' visit to Brize Norton for a football match (we're getting paid to do this stuff!), we did manage to get a look around 101 Sqn for a couple of hours, including a nice little walkaround of a VC-10. I certainly wouldn't mind being posted there for my first tour after training, although I'm sure our resident VC-10 pilots would love to scare me off in some shape or form...

So yes, I may still be around, but for reasons beyond my control, I'll be unable to post until I'm at home, unless the problem involving blacklisted IPs sorts itself out.

Glad to hear all is going well for you Tweek

Didn't realise you were still getting the blocked IP problem. That should have sorted itself ages ago

Hi Dave,

Most mobile BB users will get it as they have a very limited pool of ip addresses and recycle them frequently, this is why many spammers nowadays use these USB 3G mobile broadband connections for spam. Another one thats blocked is the WiFi on the National Express Trains.

And unfortunately this'll be my only means of getting on the internet (conveniently) for the next few months at least...

So the armed forces of today aren't sat in front of computers drinking beer, smoking fags and wasting the taxpayers money?
The Daily Mail must have been lying.
