Autocrat - ic

I'm going to put in a plug for Dave Molyneaux's Auster J1 Autocrat. It's just turned up at the pond - a perfect VFR 'plane and ideal for the Rearsby scenery that's over there too.

Superb news indeed...especially as I spend a lot of my spare time sat in Austers. Look forward to trying her out, but as we speak (12.35pm) cant seem to locate the file at the site?

Best wishes,

Martin

Should mention that it's still really in the beta test programme - so don't shoot me if you find some weirdy bits.

To put this thread to rest

John , Im not exactly sure why but , I believe because you had registered twice at the Pond something happened that
for whatever reason , you have access to the hidden area of the Pond - Sorry mate I had to delete your registration
to make it work correctly,

Sorry for the inconvience and for the rest of you folks - Patience - Dave and the beta terrors are busy making it
a perfect aeroplane

Fair enough, Leif, no problem.

I didn't mean to get under folks feet. Apologies to anyone if I got their hopes up.

(Don't ask me to give the Auster back though or I will get upset!)

Well I downloaded and installed it and jumped it from the default flight to McLeland Field and saved it there...I normally just do a couple of circuits there to test an aeroplane but the feel of this one was so nice that I flew it around for quite a while to enjoy it. It helped greatly when I stopped reading the IAS from the Oil Temp gauge and then when I found the DI was locked on a heading of about 140 degrees...I was going to bug that...But ToolTips revealed that the DI was actually the fuel gauge  Seriously, it flies just beautifully and I do really like the gauges...I was particularly pleased with the Turn & Slip gauge which behaved correctly and looked exactly right :flying:
