OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Just about my favourite 1930s aircraft, and in my favourite guise (some of the other variations G-ADGP's been through in its life are best described as "interesting"!).

I could've cried when it left Old Warden in the late 90s, but hey ho, it wasn't ever a collection aeroplane, being owned by a private owner, and we were lucky that it was saved from export to the States at the 11th hour (at about 1159, boarding the ship!).

If only someone had made an FS model about 10 years ago!

Keith Paine, the builder is related to the current owner - so once again there is a lot of love in it. he has also
been sharing some wonderful photo's of Kings Cup days in the 50s with us over at the Pond, a totally fascinating
chap who grew up in the British flying world of the 40s and 50s

Just waiting for her new shoes, Peter Watkins painted Ted Cooks Swift in the "Black Magic" colours

AND before anyone tells us the number is wrong - Peter added it for me for an upcoming multiplayer

event - the racing number is my age!!!

Dave,

Ted's Swift is an old model -- But a goodie - and Pete's black magic looks the dogs, I flew it from Sywell to our new "UK Home"
(aka Rearsby) in the fading glow . shut down as the first stars appeared in ASv6.5 - Who says it aint real.....;) Just for a moment I could smell cut grass and 80 Octane and hear the Pobjoy tinkling as it cooled.....Damn I AM getting OLD!!!
Oh if you decide to have a bash at the Comper -- A word of warning -- They DIDNT come with brakes. So slow over the hedge and get it down quickly.

I'm waiting for PeteW to give me the High sign to put G-ABUS on the Ponds library - the Swift is already tucked away in there
Like many things it has a "tinkered" with sound file.

Just got an Email from Peter Larkham (Sealand,Marathon,Concordia) He says his Percival Q6 is 99% done

So I do believe we have found our Niche ove rat the Pond , thanks to alot of very good people.

Thankfully I was only there the other day, looking at the nice new Storch and new resident Dragon Rapide.
