Hi All,

someone round here made my mouth water with the World Air Routes "European Aircharter" DVD, Dave I think you know what I mean! ;-)

It's sold out at World Air Routes neither was I successful at other stores or ebay and even Mike of JustPlanes said it's hopeless. Any hint on where I could try to get one will be warmly appreciated. Moreover if there's anyone willing to sell me a used copy at list price - please just drop me a line!

:prayer: ,

Nick

Hi Nick..

Sadly, I don't know what to suggest. The European DVD is superior to all the others with regard to FD systems explanation (I have em all) and much as I'd love to copy it for you, I can't as the chuffin thing is copy-protected :'( This idea had gone through my head years ago when DM and I were working on the One-Eleven. In the end.. I bought him a copy of the DVD! I'm sure that someone, somewhere has a copy they don't want but nailing it down will be easier said than done :-(

Sri mate.. had I realised it was out of production, I'd not have suggested it. Same happened with the 'Sailor' series. I posted that the clips off youtube were off a TV series available on DVD and there it was.. unavailable. I must be jinxed :worried:

Oh no, Dave, don't worry - I'm glad I learned that it exists!! :)
I wont be giving up getting an example! I just hope that patience will pay off! :dunno: HELP

In the mean time please just keep me in mind - for the moment someone greets you at a bar saying "Dave, I'm so fed up with my European DVD - if I don't find anybody to sell it to - I'll burn it in the backyard!"

Thanks anyway & best from LOWW,

Nick

Just out of interest I did a search and found:

http://www.gath.no/product.php?producti ... age=7&js=n

Now my Norwegian is non-existent but the site allows you to put it in the shopping cart, etc

Edit: helps if you select English from the language drop down.

Might be worth dropping them an e-mail? There are about 10 Norwegian Krone to the GB pound

Hi Ian, hi Dave,

I tried that one already two months ago :-(

The shopping process allows countries other than Norway but at the end I got an error message saying they wont ship that internationally. I then wrote two emails offering them an extra postage fee if they would grant an exemption but I never got reply. :'(

The main reason why I'm looking for this DVD is that I would love to take a look over 1-11 pilots' shoulders. I used to travel on jump seats quite often in the MD-80 with my father - I'm sure one can learn a lot on procedures and handling the aircraft if the DVD covers the whole flight, and if the main instruments are readable...

I'll see if I the Ryanair-DVD can make up to that - and I will definitely report.
However getting the EAL DVD would be even more special in terms of its historic meaning (AZMF)!

Thank you anyway for searching, gentlemen - I'll keep trying! :)

Cheers & best from VIE,

Nick
