Hi All,
Just a quick question...
After practicing flying the wessex for a while now I decided to bite the bullet and go for a training rating. I have John's Bristow
repaints installed and all has been working well. I must also add that I HAVE changed the .cfg file to read for the two engines as per the
thread further down this group.
However when I came to fly my first flight this evening the client tells me that I am in the wrong aircraft even though I am not.
Any body got any ideas?
All help appreciated

Re: Wessex = FSA Wrong Aircraft
Hi Andy,
Odd. I just booked a flight in the Wessex and the client recognised the a/c ok. Check the cfg also as the client does a max gross weight check :-
[General]
atc_type=Westland
atc_model=Wessex
performance=Cruise Speed 90 kts @ 3750 kg\nMaximum Range 480 nm @ 3767 kg\nService Ceiling 10000 ft\nMax take off weight 6123 kg\nSeating 1-2 pilots, Loadmaster & 11 passengers
[WEIGHT_AND_BALANCE]
max_gross_weight= 13500 // 3900.00
empty_weight= 2500.000
That's what I have and it works OK.
Regards
John

Hi john,
That seemed to do the trick. Will try for a quick flight post curry this evening.
You truly are a very helpful, not to say patient chap.

Andy,
Don't try and alter the payload on the Wessex as it doesn't take kindly to it. The payload was 'tuned' to get the handling right and she'll not fly/fly like a brick if you try and alter anything other than fuel.

Re: Wessex = FSA Wrong Aircraft
John,
I kind of gathered not to change the payload following your advice inthe earlier .cfg change thread, that's why I didn't
try and change anything when FSA did not recognize it.
I must say that it is a great aircraft to fly though, probably my favourite eggbeater if i had to choose one and you're Bristow
repaints certainly do it a huge amount of justice.
