Just to answer any technical questions:-
Camera...Lumix DMC-FZ18 by Panasonic with Leica 18X Optical Zoom f=4.6mm to 82.8mm (35mm film camera equivalent 28mm to 504mm)/F2.8 to F4.2.
To give you an idea of how that is working in these shots...most are on full or near full Zoom and picture 22 is a crop from picture 21 and picture 21 is taken from the same place as the Roy Morris shot. In fact all the shots at that last waterhole are taken from where I took the Roy Morris shot. The Roy Morris shot is slightly cropped to get him centred and it and 22 are the only cropped pictures. All the other pictures are using just the optical zoom from wide angle to X18 and are not processed...They are as in the camera. The slideshow was constructed by "Lightroom2". If you are wondering why there seems to be no camera shake even at x18 Zoom, it is because of Image Stabilization in Mode 2.

Thanks very much for these, Peter. I can almost smell the Bush in those photos and hear the turtle doves and the go-away bird - I need to go back to South Africa soon :-(
Meanwhile, your photos will do very nicely indeed!

Thanks Ian...BTW I've been told elsewhere that the elephants have "jaggies"...well they do have jaggies if you run the slideshow in the small window that it initially appears in. You need to click the maximize icon at top right on the window to get it to fill your monitor and then click the play icon at bottom centre. With this procedure the elephants will have no jaggies...I'm sure that this is teaching "Grandma to Suck Eggs" around here but all images are best viewed at 100% to preserve their quality and viewing them smaller creates "Jaggies"
BTW Ian...Three out of four legs in Club...Pretty good for the time of year, especially this year, when all staff had to complete their travel by 31st March :flying:
