A story I was told when I was on the Proteus course at Filton. Two different methods were being tried out for dealing with the ice that sometimes built up in the bend of the intake duct during flight. One method was to inject hot air over the skin in that area and the other was to fit an extra skin in the cowling and then heat all the bend area. The cowling skins were numbered from outer to inner, 1, 2 and 3. It was pointed out that the addition of another skin might cause problems for one of the client airlines, El Al, so they were hurriedly renamed A, B, C and D.

Many thanks for the Brit, Jens, an excellent job well done.

I've just discovered something else rather nice about this model, I modified the aircraft.cfg file to give differential braking and it's reflected on the brake gauges!

Sorry to be looking for this so late, but after AVSIM's file system disaster, this one is missing from there library. Does anybody know another location I can download this from?

I think this is the one you're looking for. File name brt_v10.zip on Avsim. The screenie on the download page is missing but the aircraft itself is still available for download. :)

Sorry Leif, I'm probably being thick but I can't find it. STUPID I registered but no double secret links magically appeared. Is there something else to do? :dunno:

TIA, Paul

Oh dear. Thank you gents. I erm well er it's a bit embarrassing really. I didn't actually click on Search Files because the drop down list appeared, and I thought the Civil page listed in most recent order. When I look again of course they're alphabetic. Doh! Off now to do some Britannianingning and later I'll probably go back to the only thing I seem to do well these days.. :drinkers: Hic!

Thanks again.
