What's this?

This link will take you to the latest archive collection of old photos from 'The Times'. If you click forward to photo number 7 you'll see it's a picture of a winter scene at Croydon Aerodrome in February 1936. What's puzzling me is: what is the large wheeled contraption behind the HP42, by the windsock? It's probably obvious but I just can't see it!

Its not that obvious -- It looks like a DH product with its wings folded -- hwoever it gas a four bladed prop - judging by the car and figure standing off to the right its a fairly hefty single engined beastie so it shouldnt be hard to track down.

I think it may be a Cierva Autogiro . Incidentally, the aeroplane in the foreground is not a Ju-52, but something French the name of which I cannot remember
