I don't care what kind of beer it is, and I don't care that it is free …….
it's still not going to taste the same served this way!!
Gives new meaning to the term "…. on the p**s"!!!

I realise the Germans are notorious for their lack of a sense of humour,
But the guy old guy hasn’t even the hint of a smile on his face, so maybe that’s how they normally serve the beer in that village?.
The only other explanation I can think of is, "It was an promotion for a new beer, held in the back garden of DaveB's pub" ex matlots do those sorts of things I heard!.

Did you notice his other arm braced against the vehicle? Maybe the lack of a smile is really due to his complete concentration on the task at hand...being that he's already had 7 or 8 glasses of beer already.
