Yeh.. the museums 1-11 was MikeFox which could have been saved had there been a little more get up and go from certain quarters :-( Ah well.. there it was, gone :roll:

God.. I really am in need of the opticians. Saw the Wessex but missed the wording above :lol: In answer to the obscure question.. since when did RAF rescue helicopters have the hump on the back housing the dipping sonar?? :lol: Rule 1.. do not take what you see in a museum to be matter of fact ;-)

I been reading that the "other" one is LV-OAX....she is complete but awaits her fate on the dump..... :-(

You got it Dave.....she was at Halton and aquired those colours god knows why...she was an airframe test bed for the RN but never joined them...and the RAF never had a sub hunter with the RAF rescue Sqn.... :roll:
Whilst sat in the "pit" i saw a switch for sonabuoy cut away.... :lol:

That second pic is a Chichester-Miles Leopard isn't it? G-BRNM or something like it?

the last shot is the other 952 Vanguard Simulator (Canadian spec)

the other one is at Brookie i think and they only built 2
