If that was the work of a hacker then who is next in line?

Somebody had a grudge against AVSIM I wonder?

Lets just hope they do come back......soon. :prayer:

I still can't believe in this day and age that people don't keep regular backups, especially those with such large and prominent sites.

That said one imagines they would be keen to plug the hole that the nefarious individuals who did the dirty deed utilised to take the site down in the first place before they put up any backups.

Irrelevant, but I thought I'd add that a lot of people do, for a lot of good reasons.
Can't be arsed.

Somewhat odd that announcement becaiuse after some days of problems with the Avsim library off-line yesterday, Tuesday, 12th May, was the first time that the Avsim had managed to put their complete library back on-line. I successfully accessed that Library during Tuesday evening (BST).

What great pity - a real loss to the community.

I now find the fact that yesterday afternoon (night MST) I got there hacking attempt warnings at the Pond -- I assumed at the time it was because Rob was in the back working on the Mk2 Pond - but now I am not so sure.

Its sad when someone does such damage I hope that the good folks at Avsim can return soon
