The Mysteries of E-bay

I can never understand some of the bidders on e-bay. I have ordered my Corgi BOAC VC10 G-ARVA for £58.00 delivered yet there are models for auction on e-bay for roughly £50.00 plus £7/8 postage. The auctions are nowhere near complete so the final price is going to far exceed what I paid.

I saw the same thing when the Altitude Concorde FS add-on came on the market, the e-bay price far exceeded the shop price.

Now cue someone to post how they got their G-ARVA model for £15.75 with free p&p

There have been kits on ebay of items still current and exceeding the retail price.

I guess if someone is daft enough to pay over the odds because they are too stupid or lazy to check then more fool them.

A fool and thier money are easily parted....the old saying goes.

Now why am I always broke?

I'm guessing in some cases it may be because it's hard to find a retail example, a similar thing happened with early MGFs where year old ones were going for almost as much as brand new ones because the waiting list was so long.
I think some of it may also be the 'competition' aspect of bidding on e-bay which leads to a win at all costs attitude!
