Forthcoming on TV
This Sunday at 8.00pm on BBC2 is the Top Gear Race to the North.
Kings Cross to Edinburgh Waverley with Jeremy Clarkson shovelling coal
on New Tornado London to Edinburgh racing against James May in a Jag
XK120 and Hammond on a Vincent motorbike.
All designed in 1948.
Seen pic preview of Clarkson at Edinburgh with a black bright face and
just two white eyes, hilarious.
Then following at 9.00pm also on BBC2 is James May on a flight to very
edge of space in a U2 after 3 days of astronaut training.
Clarkson was p**sed because he and Hammond both failed the medical to
be allowed to do it.

Hi Graham. Thanks for that.I think you'll find that York to Edinburgh was the 'Sir Nigel Gresley'.The following day ,this engine took the train to Dundee.I had the great pleasure of riding on this trip from Edinburgh to Dundee return. The return to Edinburgh was with 'Union of South Africa' both A4 's.After anoher night stop in Edinburgh,'South Africa' took the train back to York, from where 'Tornado' completed the return to Kings Cross.Pure magic EricT

The Locomotive on Top Gear is definitely going to be Tornado seen pictures and video of it somewhere. Really looking forward to seeing this because besides my love of aviation I am also a big fan of steam locomotives. Virtually every weekend and often during the week too there are Steam hauled railtours throughout the country. Just take a look at this website to see a list of all the tours that have and are scheduled to take place this year. As you can see Tornado is extremely popular and has run a number of tours, in fact i am hoping I may see her somewhere this Sunday.
