Iinteresting Nigel..especially when attention is drawn to the.

Somewhere I've seen pic or a taxyway across some water and 747's even using them :think:

Orly has a runways across a motorway way from what I remember of it

Good grief, I never knew Funchal's runway was like that! Aqueducts are for water, viaducts for roads...so is this an air duct ? ;-)

An interesting site.

The Creepy Beach Sculptures To Scare Off Sunbathers link made me laugh. Who thinks up these ideas? :dunno:

Garry, you might be thinking of Honolulu. That's taxiway RB to Rwy 08R.

Although not now used, the B1347 crosses the runway at East Fortune: gates would be shut for movements, it got particularly busy years ago when it was used as a replacement for Edinburgh when the (then) new runway and other work was ongoing

The Taxiway a Honolulu is a great place to watch the US Navy putting to see -- also from some friends who have access to Hickam its a great place to fish :)
