No not the Missile
The rather twee little Scud II (or Scud B) that I remember flying at the London Gliding Club in the early 60s
Ted Cook has graced us with another little British Jewel -- Now available from Ted's website or the Pond.
Goes well with Pete Watkins repaints of Rick Pipers T21 in LGC colours (Butterfly and Dragonfly) Now if
only someone built a nice Dunstable scenery for Fs9...............
Leif
Oh yes one question -- All my Screenshots seemed to resemble fag cards all of a sudden -- anyone know why?

Beautiful model Ted - there are just not enough classic gliders available in FS9 or FSX, nice one.

Just been reading about launching fliders in FS9/FSX and it seems there are a few problems if you're not using a tug.
Several methods have been tried but they don't seem very satisfactory - VET is one (Virtual Engine Technology) puts a small jet engine in the flight model to get it off the ground.
Has anyone adapted the FSX/Acceleration Carrier Catapult to simulate a bungee launcher?

Thanks to Roger -- he just pointed me to LGC senery for Fs9 and FSX -- I'll give it a whirl when I get home from work and also see if we cant host it at the Pond -- Now all we need is a couple of Olys a Sky4 or two a Dart 17R , we have the Tigers for
towing....and Bobs your uncle
Cheers Roger
Just got an email from Craig Richardson - his Dunstable scenery for fs9/fsx AND the retro Dunstable scenery will be available at the Pond
later today

I've got several gliders from Wolfgang Piper (Name sounds familiar) His home page is at fsglider.de Lots of models, old and new, for FS9 and FSX.
I usually launch by slewing up. Press y then tap F3 to ascend slowly.
Dennis.

There is a nice little self-launching tool (I think made by the same gent) it works very well emaulating winch launches it comes with Rick's T21 and is easily
added to most gliders -- I hope someone can think of a way to modify a carrier cat to emulate a bungee launch -- I can set up a launch point on Dunstable
Downs in about five minutes if someone can figure out how to apply the catapult gauge
I have Herr Pipers Ka6e already ( a favorite) and I think he does a Ka13 which was also used at LGC in the early 60s

...a simulated cat launch, using a glider.
I'm getting scared just thinking about the experience... PC flying or not, that sounds like one heck of a ride... HELP

Actually Bungie launches can be very ermmm exhilerating --- also the "double winch" set up that used to be at the Mynd
Oh yes the London Gliding scenery for FS9 and FSX are now at the Pond.....Thank you Craig
