Had to Format my Drive

Away yesterday and when I started my computer today had boot screen errors.

invalid Boot - ini Fill
Booting error C Windows
Invalid key anti-virus

Could not get kaspersky to work kept asking for the serial key but would not do it as it meant I had to be on internet and with no protection I took no action so have formatted the disc to load XP tomorrow.

I had noted on Saturday that I was getting a number of warnings that Kaspersky had blocked (can't remember what it was possibly worm or trojan) and also said that attacking computer not blocked as address possibly spoofed.

Don't know whether you have any ideas but speaking to the shop who does my computer he said that there had been a number of infections last week on customers computers. By doing a full format will get rid of it.

Any one have any ideas what it could have been?

Will be back on in two days time but always can access here at work.

Regards
Nigel.

I had visions of a few years ago when I chases crash after reformat until I decided I was flogging a dead horse and used the oppertunity to buy a bigger HD.

Glad it's not connected and hopefully you can get a solution :)
