Flicking through the cable channnels whilst eating my evening meal tonight, I chanced upon the above. There were two programs back-to-back 'Classic British Aircraft', starting at 8pm and I spent the next 45 enjoyable minutes (missed the first 15) looking at the Beverley, Dragon Rapide and Anson.
Does anyone know if this a regular program? It seems to be part of a series called 'Flight Club'. I am on Virgin cable.
There used to be the Discovery Aviation channel some time ago.

I have that series somewhere on DVD. Can't remember off the top of my head but there were perhaps 9 or 10 programmes in all. I'll see if I can find it ;-)

I caught one last week that was about helicopters. Featuring the Bristol Sycamore for half an hour, then the Westland Wasp for the final half hour. Very enjoyable, but I'd have preferred a fixed wing programme.
Must remember to set the Series Record button next time I see it on.

I've looked all over the place for my copy and it is managing to elude me thus far  There's definately an episode on the Trident and one on the Shackleton.. I think the Comet and VC10 are covered too. Definately a 'keeper' for those with access to Discovery ;-) Our very own Brian Withers features in the Shackleton episode as does Neil (Tridentman) in the Trident episode

I seem to recall one on the Gannet, and another on the Victor as well.
Cracking series.
