Y E S..
I don't think that bit of footage shows the 'incident' in a particularly good light. It really did look like a takeoff run rather than a fast taxi gone wrong.. if that makes sense. Still.. they all walked away ;-)

Ok, I need to stop watching these Victor videos.

Even though I know exactly what's about to happen I still...pucker.

I can't help but think after watching this one that they mis-set the tail trim. You can see the balance horns in this video and you note that as soon as the aircraft starts to rotate, they neutralize the input but the plane continues to rotate and they have to put in some pretty significant down elevator to get the nose back to an attitude where they wouldn't stall.
Oh well, too bad they can't use this as proof that the aircraft is still basically airworthy and get it up for a year with the Vulcan.

Cannot remember which aircraft magazine I read but in it there was a full report from the Captain regarding that incident. During the roll and as the Victor neared take-off speed the Captain asked the Co-Pilot to close the throttles, this was ignored, the Captain then again told the Co-Pilot to close the throttles and again he ignored the command, one reason why the Victor took off!!
Now nothing was written in the magazine to say what action (if any) was taken against the Co-Pilot but or if his intercom failed and he was unable to hear the commands from the Captain.
Nigel.

The pilot has appeared on forums
From what I can gather no action has been taked as yet and the aircraft will make it's next run in September.
It seems then nothing too drastic
